An extract from the twelfth annual report of Cara-Friend, a befriending organisation for gay men and lesbians founded in Belfast in 1974. The extract details various seminars about AIDS that had been organised by Cara-Friend and the Terrence Higgins Trust, a London-based AIDS charity. The extract also discusses the formation of the AIDS Helpline, which was established in order to provide information to the public in Northern Ireland, as well as offering advice and counselling services.
